"We often expect cards on our birthday. How about surprising someone with an unbirthday card? With or without Alice in Wonderland inspiration, make a happy unbirthday card."When I made my card for Kaz's Color Splash Challenge a couple of weeks back, I embossed the stencil background stamp in white embossing powder and sprayed it with Dylusions inks to create a resist. I then used a second piece of paper to sop up the excess ink that puddled inside the stencil background stamp and it gave this great distressed looking reverse impression. I cut it to size, stamped the Happy Unbirthday sentiment on it and mounted it to the card front before using my gold Pearl Pen to add some bling all over.
If you would like to receive this card for your unbirthday, please leave a comment mentioning one of your favorite stamping techniques and I'll draw a name on the weekend!

Love, love this background. Fabulous. My favourite background technique at the moment is Modelpaste through a stencil and ink sprays !
