SDC104: Faux Metal

It's time for the Stampotique Designer's Challenge!  Maria is our hostess this week and here is what she is challenging us all with:
'' Metals are an amazing source for jewelry and other fine crafts. But, how many of you like to use metals on handmade creations? I challenge you to create a faux-metal creation, using Stampotique stamps. It can be anything, from jewelry to embellishments! Make it look real!''

We recently travelled to New York for an extended long weekend.  I thought I'd use this challenge to make a little memory book for some of the fun we had while we were away (turns out that I'm out of black 3/4" coil binding - doh!).  I used black Fireworks spayed on grunge board to make the faux gunmetal book plate and hinges, but photographing faux metal turns out to be a bit of a challenge too!  I plan to keep going to fill this book so I hope to share more highlights from this book as it progresses.
