To achieve this look, I stamped the fairy 3 times - once on X-Press It paper, once on teal patterned card stock and once on the top layer of my project. First I distressed all of the project layers with Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Walnut Distress Inks. Then I cut the wings from the teal and distressed them too. Next, I colored the fairy's skirt on the top layer of the project with Copics, affixed the wings in place and finished coloring the bits of skirt on the wings. Then, I colored the body of the fairy on the X-Press It paper with Copics, cut her out and affixed her over the wings and skirt. Next I used Tim Holtz's White Picket Fence marker and painted the white highlights over the skirt. Once it dried white, I blended it with a very fine paint brush and water. (Tip: The fine tip of the Copic Blender worked perfectly for lifting the Picket Fence white up off of the lines of the stamped image so they weren't lost under the paint!) Finally, I adhered the layers to each other popping the top layer up with foam tape.
I can't decide whether to mount this to a card base or to add a ribbon and hang it in my craft room. What's your vote?

Wow, I think I would put this in a shadow box, with all things fairy inside and hang it on the wall for all time!
