This week
Joanne Wardle challenges us to keep it Clean and Simple (CAS) for the
Stampotique Designer's Challenge!! If you've ever visited Joanne's blog, you know that she loves the CAS style. What do we mean by CAS? Minimalistic designs, empty spaces. Joanne knows that some people find this style difficult, but she maintains that it can be very cleansing artistically and encourages us to give it a try! This week you can use stamps from any company, but if you have Stampotique images, we'd be thrilled to see how you incorporate them into this challenge!
Here is my attempt at keepin' it simple! I used a Kalleidacolor pad on a solid piece of rubber to create the gradient background and then stamped Lavender Sprig twice using the darkest color on the Kalleidacolor pad. I added just the first word, "Happy" from the Happy Unbirthday stamp for the sentiment. Easy peasy!
Hanged up in houses,
it doth very well attemper the aire,
coole and make fresh the place to the delight
and comfort of such as are therein.
