To achieve this look, the flower is stamped twice on white paper and embossed with white ink. Citrus ink is then sponged into the centre and stream is sponged around the edges. Cut out both flowers, cutting to the centre of the flower on one image so the petals separate. Curl the petals using a round implement (like a paintbrush handle or a pencil to give them shape. Affix the curled flower over the flat one and embellish the centre with metallic dew drops. The background stamp was covered with Citrus ink and then dobbed with the Stream sponge to add some movement. Affix the flower and stamp the sentiment with Stream ink and voila!

Val, this is stunning. I absolutely love these two colours together! Just gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteHumm, my last laugh at myself...oh my there's so many to recount! I guess the last time would have been when we were out shopping and I went to get back in the car and I banged my head on the door frame of the car! I'm such a clutz and I I know it! lol :)
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Julie
I have really been enjoying the 'simple' cards - we really need to remember the roots of stamping.
ReplyDeleteLast time I laughed at myself was earlier today actually when I was enjoying a book in the sunshine on the deck - came in to answer the phone only to discover it was the next door neighbours phone - yeesh!

What a beautiful card Val! I need it! lol...I also need that stamp, can that be included too??
ReplyDeleteWell....do I really have to say what happened? Ok...we rented a car, and the morning I had to return it, I met hubby at the gas station. It was about 5:30 am. I drove up to the pump, and hubby and gas attendant just stared at me, finally hubby said turn around, the gas tank is on the other side. So....I turned the car around, and went to the other side. Well, they just stood there in amazement shaking their heads, laughing at me. OMG, I was on the wrong side for the car still. It was way too early in the morning obviously! I was just supposed to turn the car around and go to the same side, but I went to the other side. Definitely a blonde moment, and worst part, there was a witness! LOL
Thanks for the chance to win!
:)
