One Card, Many Looks

Our crafty group challenge this month was to just relax and enjoy creating a card - no theme.  I thought I'd take a stab at using up some background pieces left over from some lanterns I created.  (I know, where are pics of the lanterns, right?)  Here, I've stamped a single image on the background piece and then stamped it again on white high gloss and cut it out and foam mounted it over the original design.  I've used the same sepia ink for the entire card - all of the stamping and all of the distressing.  It was interesting to see how the high-gloss made the color of the ink so vibrant.  The high gloss was pure white, so I toned it down with a touch of distress ink.  The scans don't really capture the dimension that the layering has created, but they do look striking in person :)
